Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to share with you the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 11th and 12th June 2024.
We are thrilled to announce that Seathorne Primary Academy has been recognised as a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted, affirming our commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for your children.
The inspection report highlights several key strengths of our school community that we are particularly proud of. Firstly, it is clear that our pupils genuinely value attending Seathorne Primary Academy. The report notes that they find our school to be welcoming, inclusive, and a place where they feel cared for, well-educated, and safe.
Furthermore, the behaviour of our pupils was commended, with inspectors noting their attentive listening, collaboration, and mutual respect in lessons. Pupils expressed feeling secure and supported, emphasising the positive relationships they have with staff and commented on how they value the many staff that they can turn to if they need help and the “Listening Ears” initiative.
In terms of curriculum, our approach was described as ambitious and carefully designed to meet the needs of our pupils. It was recognised that we prioritise the development of communication, speech, and language skills, ensuring that our curriculum prepares them for future challenges.
The report also recognised our dedication to pupil safety and well-being, including comprehensive measures for online safety and physical health. We are proud to offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports, which contribute to the holistic development of our students.
As we celebrate this achievement, we also recognise that there are areas where we can continue to grow and improve. We are committed to addressing the impact of recent challenges, including the ongoing effects of COVID-19 and ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
